Overview
The focus of this project is to create a magazine that conveys a message to the readers. "Summit" is a hiking lifestyle magazine that inspires adventure and helps readers embrace their passion for the great outdoors. A cover, feature article, and an interview article were to be created.

When starting out this magazine, the goal was to make it visually pleasing and enjoyable to flip through, especially targeting the outdoorsy crowd. It started with a few sketches to get a rough idea of the layout of each page and things to keep in mind when brain storming.
images, typeface, & Color palette
Images that were chosen help reflect the theme of the magazine. A few images were some that I had taken when visiting Zion NP and a few were from Google Maps to capture the texture of the elevations of the area. Altivo was chosen as the body copy because it has many fonts and is legible. Modula OT was chosen as heading and cover page typeface because it gives the feel of adventure and has height to it just like mountains do. Earthy tones felt fitting for this type of magazine to reflect the outdoorsy theme.
