Summit Magazine
OVERVIEW
Summit is a hiking lifestyle magazine that's all about inspiring people to get outside and explore. I wanted to capture the spirit of exploration and speak to those who feel most alive in nature and feel like something you'd pick up before your next adventure. The goal was for the readers to grow their passion for exploring and their love for nature. I designed a cover, a feature article, and an interview piece, all centered around that passion for hiking and the great outdoors.

Images that were chosen help reflect the theme of the magazine. The images seen below are ones I had taken when visiting Zion NP and the other was from Google Maps to capture the texture of the elevations of the area. Altivo was chosen as the body copy because it has many fonts and is legible. Modula OT was chosen as the heading and cover page typeface because it gives the feel of adventure and has height to it just like mountains do. Earthy tones felt fitting for this type of magazine to reflect the outdoorsy theme.
